Water Heater Failure at an Apartment Building

The room in this apartment building had water damage due to a water heater failure.   The water leak seeped through the carpet and left unattended.  When the property manager noticed the musty smell, he called our Professionals to perform emergency water mitigation.  Upon receiving the call, our crew quickly responded to the site and performed a moisture test.  After removing the carpet, they found black mold on the hardwood floor and around the edges as shown on before photo.  They immediately extracted the water, cleaned, sanitized and deodorized the affected area.  Here at SERVPRO of Petaluma/Rohnert Park we specialize in full service water and mold damage restoration.
